Match predictive evidence to the robot decision it must support

A robot may see where a moving cup is while lacking its recent motion. A planner may produce plausible routes while lacking evidence for choosing among them. Predicting a future is useful only in relation to the decision the system faces. Across separate tested settings, recent observations inform control, deployment transitions update a predictive model, modeled future scenes help compare paths, and executed outcomes check whether predictions distinguish success from failure. The studies support choosing evidence for a specific gap; they do not establish one shared performance gain.

Match robot evidence to the decision that fails

A robot can falter after learning another task, choose poorly among driving paths, or respond differently to two phrasings of a request. These failures arise at different decisions, so the evidence that might help enters at different points. The studies suggest rehearsing earlier tasks during adaptation, consulting predicted scenes while selecting a path, or rewriting an instruction before action. Rehearsal reduces stored trajectory memory while using model computation; the driving planner shares forecast work across paths. Each reported gain belongs to its own test.
